P V Chandran appointed as president of Indian Newspaper Society

P V Chandran, managing editor of the Mathrubhumi daily, has been elected the president of the Indian Newspaper Society INS). He was selected to the post at executive committee meeting held after the 76th annual general body meeting at Bengaluru, said a press release.

KOZHIKODE: P V Chandran, managing editor of the Mathrubhumi daily, has been elected the president of the Indian Newspaper Society INS). He was selected to the post at executive committee meeting held after the 76th annual general body meeting at Bengaluru, said a press release.
Chandran, who joined Mathrubhumi as director in 1977, took charge as the managing editor of the daily in 1989.

He was the executive member of the INS for a long time. In 2010, he was elected as the Kerala regional committee of the INS. He became the vice president of the INS in 2013 and deputy president in 2014.
