P K Mishra reappointed principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi

NEW DELHI: The government of India on Thursday reappointed Pramod Kumar Mishra as the principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

A department of personnel and training order said that his appointment will come into effect from June 10, 2024. "The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr PK Mishra, IAS (Retired) as principal secretary to Prime Minister with effect from 10.06.2024. His appointment will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders whichever is earlier," the order said.



Dr. P K Mishra, a 1972 batch officer who retired as the agriculture secretary to the government of India, has been working closely with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the last ten years. Since his retirement, Dr. Mishra has been a key member of the Prime Minister's team.

P K Mishra has also served as additional principal secretary to the Prime Minister Modi during 2014-19.

Moreover, Amit Khare and Tarun Kapoor have been appointed as Advisors to PM, for a period of two years with effect from 10-06-2024, as per a separate notification.
