SRINAGAR: One civilian bystander was killed and six were wounded when separatist militants threw a grenade at a paramilitary bunker in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday afternoon.
Police said the attack at a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bunker took place in Beehama Chowk of Ganderbal tehsil, 22 km from Srinagar.
"Seven people were wounded in the explosion.
They were shifted to hospital where one person, identified as Ghulam Muhammad Khan, succumbed to his injuries," said a senior police officer.
He said the conditions of the other injured were stable.
Security forces immediately surrounded the area around the explosion site and mounted searches. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
