NEW DELHI: The controversy over killing of terrorist Burhan Wani has taken a new turn with former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah slamming incumbent deputy chief minister and BJP leader Nirmal Singh for calling the encounter killing an 'accident'.
"I was asked that state government has failed after Burhan Wani killing. I was only explaining that it was a routine anti-terrorist operation and suppose security personnel would have known (about Wani's presence), better precautionary measures would have been taken," he added.
Singh reiterated that his government is tough when it comes to dealing with terrorists.
"So far as Burhan Wani's killing is concerned, he was a terrorist. Terrorists behaving like this, will be dealt in this way only," the deputy chief minister said.
