OC officials had a fallout in London over payment?
NEW DELHI: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has found that ‘tainted’Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) officials T S Darbari and Sanjay Mohindroo had a fallout at the residence of Ashish Patel — the owner of A M Films and A M Cars — in London.
A highly placed source told ToI, “Mohindroo and Darbari met Ashish Patel at his house sometime in October 2009 when they went there for the Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR).

They had again visited Patel’s house, but he was not there. They had a fallout over some payment issue.”
According to the source, “Patel came to know about this and he sent mails to Darbari and Mohindroo, saying that he had reported the matter to the London Police.”
He added, “the exact reason for the tiff could be ascertained once Patel isquestioned. But, it certainly relates to a financial transaction”. The CBI is now preparing to seek the London Police’s help to know if there was a complaint from Patel and also the status of the probe. The agency would be sending a Letter Rogatory (LR) about this to the United Kingdom soon to figure out veracity of the complaint made by Patel.
The letter would be third in a row related to A M Films and A M Cars’ FIRs registered by the agency in the CWG scam. The agency learnt about Patel’s move to approach the London Police through the mail he had sent to Darbari and Mohindroo.
Two LRs have already been initiated by CBI, including one with a questionnaire for Patel and payments made to his company and other transactions, which took place in London.
