NEW DELHI: Three months after the goof-ups in the mostwanted list in May, the CBI has updated the list of fugitives wanted by Indian enforcement agencies, in which Iqbal Bhatkal has also been added. Bhatkal is the co-founder of
Indian Mujahideen (IM) and first IM member to be added in the most wanted list. Iqbal Bhatkal is one of the most- wanted people in recent times along with his brother Riyaz Bhatkal, who runs the operations of IM.
Riyaz Bhatkal's name is still not in the most wanted list on CBI's website.
Earlier in May this year, it was found that Iqbal Bhatkal and Riyaz Bhatkal, apart from several underworld members including Ravi Pujari, Hemant Pujari (members of Chhota Rajan gang), underworld don Ejaz Lakdawala and Guru Satan were not there on the most-wanted list despite Red Corner Notices issued against them. Now, all these people have been added in the list. One more Indian Mujahideen member — Yusuf Bhatkal is added in the list.
Bhatkal brothers are wanted in
German Bakery blast case of Pune as well. The agency had not removed the names of two people Wazhul Khan and Feroze Ahmed Rashid Khan from their most-wanted list while they were found to be living in India in May this year.
