As for the 2024 candidates list in Nilgiris Lok Sabha Constituency, Lokesh from All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam , Dr. L Murugan from Bharatiya Janata Party , A. Raja from Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Jeyakumar from Naam Tamilar Katchi are the prominent candidates.

In the 2019 General Assembly Elections, Nilgiris witnessed a fiercely contested battle. This constituency witnessed a 73.79% voter turnout in the year 2019. DMK candidate Raja, A. won the 2019 General Election with a victory margin of 2,05,823 votes, securing 5,47,832 votes. Raja, A. defeated Thiyagarajan, M. of the AIADMK, who got 3,42,009 votes.

The Nilgiris Lok Sabha constituency is scheduled to vote on 19th April 2024, with the Election Commission announcing results on 4th June, as per their statement on March 16
