The rebellion by Eknath Shinde did not catch Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena just napping; evidence now suggests the party was in a Kumbhkaran-esque slumber as the mutiny brewed.

A Times of India report as long back as August 22 last year – that is over ten months ago – had reported BJP leader Narayan Rane claiming that Shinde was unhappy and that the BJP would love to welcome him into its fold.
