NAGPUR: Veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister N K P Salve, who began a hunger strike on Friday along with his former party colleague, Vasant Sathe demanding separate Vidarbha, developed some complications and was hospitalised.
Salve''s family members said that he developed some complications and left the venue of the strike near Mahatma Gandhi statue and went to his residence.
Later doctors advised him to get admitted to a hospital.
Dr Uday Mahorkar, who is attending on Salve, said that his condition is stable and he has been kept under observation.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ranjeet Deshmukh and senior Cabinet minister Satish Chaturvedi met Salve and Sathe and persuaded them not to go ahead with their hunger strike.
