In a LinkedIn post some weeks ago, Gurprriet Siingh, managing director, leadership and succession at Russell Reynolds India, an executive search and leadership advisory firm, talked about the “anxious and sleepless nights” he experienced following a job change. “...work-related stress pushed me into depression and PTSD [post traumatic stress disorder]. It took me several years to recover from that period of my life,” he wrote.
According to a survey by Statista in 2020, 67% of respondents from six countries reported higher levels of stress since the Covid outbreak. While India wasn’t included in the survey, the Delta wave in 2021 is likely to have significantly upped stress levels here too.
