Thanking the hospital and doctors for providing free treatment, Renukaswamy's father, Kashinath Shivanagoudar, expressed his emotional response to the reporters and said, "Felt happy as though my son had come back."

Sahana was five months pregnant at the time of her husband's death. Darshan, along with Pavithra Gowda and 15 others, are accused in the murder case. Darshan is currently held in Ballari jail, while Pavithra is in a central prison in Bengaluru. Some other accused individuals have recently been granted bail.

The murder occurred after Renukaswamy, a fan of the actor, allegedly sent obscene messages to Pavithra. Police believe this act enraged Darshan, leading to the murder on June 9. Renukaswamy's body was found near a stormwater drain in Bengaluru.

Raghavendra, a member of Darshan's fan club, reportedly lured Renukaswamy to a location in Bengaluru under the guise of meeting the actor. There, Renukaswamy was allegedly tortured and killed. The post-mortem report indicates that he died due to shock and hemorrhage from multiple blunt injuries.

Police identified Pavithra as the "major cause" of the murder, stating that she instigated and conspired with the other accused.
