"I am Tilottama's mother speaking. Today, on Teacher's day, I offer my respects to all the teachers on behalf of my daughter. From her childhood, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. You were the guiding force behind that dream, and we, as her parents, stood by her. She also worked very hard. But I believe it was because she had good teachers like you by her side that she could fulfill her dream of becoming a doctor," the letter read.

"One duty, one daughter's desperate plea to all teachers of medical colleges, doctors, health authorities, and nursing staff: I humbly request if you have any information, please bring it forward, because I believe the silence of good people emboldens criminals. By supporting the movement for justice for my daughter and honoring all teachers on Teacher's Day, I hope for justice for my daughter," she added.

Earlier, the victim's family joined the protest at the RG Kar Hospital and accused the police of trying to offer them money when they were crying and sitting with the mortal remailns od their daughter.

"When the body of the daughter was lying in front of the parents in the house, the police were offering money, is this the humanity of the police?" the aunt of the deceased doctor had said.
