Must respect constitutional posts: Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar
Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday spoke about the need for respecting constitutional posts like those of the President and the governor, calling them the highest positions under the Indian Constitution.
Speaking at the launch of a book on UP governor Anandiben Patel in Lucknow, Dhankhar noted that constitutional roles uphold and safeguard the Constitution, and commenting on "such dignified offices warrant serious reflection".
The remarks came days after Dhankhar's critical observations on a SC ruling setting a timeframe for governors, and even the President, to clear the bills sent for their approval. The VP had alleged that the judiciary was acting as a "Super Parliament".

Before 2013, during congress Era there was no conflict of interest between judiciary and government because both followed dynasties and shared the loot. Congress positioned SC and HC judges who were as faithful as dogs. Collegium selected their kith and kin as judges and it was all one happy family with total disregard to common man and justice. In 2014 when Bjp government came to power SC started feeling uneasy that their loyalty was still for their previous masters. So , the only route was to invite some PILs on every decision that government makes and stall them, entertain cases against Modi and his every decision. Just imagine, 4 million Kashmiri pundits men, women and Children were killed , and exiled, No judge had the conscience to even question it. But just one killed in Manipur, judge suddenly grows conscience and takes up the case on urgent basis. Courts opened doors in midnight to rescue terrorists, now they eant to dictate terms on the president of india about how soon they need to decide. Irony is, SC has cases which are 40 years old and still Melords have no time for them. The waqf amendments is making news now. But the same waqf was amended with draconian laws and armed with power that even SC can't question them, SC was silent. That should explain everythingRead allPost comment
