NEW DELHI: Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Satyabrata Mukherjee on Tuesday categorically denied charges made by a CPI-M MP that he made international sexline calls using public money.

cpi-m member biplab dasgupta had demanded his resignation in a letter to prime minister atal bihari vajpayee and claimed he had documentary evidence to show that mukherjee made such calls as an mp from west bengal and later as a minister. mukherjee said most of the calls were "made at a point of time when i was not in delhi. the member (dasgupta) should have checked the facts before making the charges".
