Under Nadda's leadership, the party participated in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and numerous assembly polls. He currently represents Gujarat in the Rajya Sabha.

In 2010, Nadda was appointed as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and in 2012, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha for the first time. His political journey began with his involvement in the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, where he was elected as the National Secretary in 1989.

Later, in 1991, he assumed the role of President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

The NDA, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, secured a total of 293 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, with the BJP alone winning 240 seats. In the 543-member lower house of the Indian parliament, a minimum of 272 seats is required for a majority.

"Notably, PM Modi created history today by becoming the second Indian leader to win a third term after founding prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru."
