Extraordinary success stories of four youngsters from very modest backgrounds who cracked NEET — the medical entrance examination

A family of goatherds could soon see two of its girls becoming doctors. They could be joined by an electrician’s son, a taxi driver’s daughter and a truck mechanic’s daughter. What’s common to these youngsters is family poverty – and a driving ambition to be something more. These students have cleared the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET– UG this year, and are on course to becoming the first doctors in their families – or even their extended communities.
