Aaditya Thackeray holds road show, offers prayers before nominations

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray exuded confidence over Maha Vikas Aghadi's victory in the upcoming elections in Maharashtra.


After filing his nominations from the Worli seat, Aaditya Thackeray, while speaking to ANI said, "With the love of the people and the support from my party I have filed my nomination today. MVA will win in Maharashtra, this is the hope that we have."


He also held a road show and offered his prayers at a temple before filing his nomination from the Worli assembly constituency.


After he offered his prayers at a temple, he spoke about filing his nomination to contest for the Worli constituency, he said, "I will be filing the nomination today, I have come to seek blessings before that."


He further said that he will seek to eradicate unemployment and stop the 'loot of Maharashtra.'

Aaditya Thackeray files nomination from Worli

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has filed his nomination for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections on November 20, seeking re-election from his current constituency of Worli in Mumbai.

Since the nomination process began on October 22, a total of 153 candidates have submitted their papers across the state.

Pawar vs Pawar in Baramati

The NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) released its first list of 45 candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra state assembly elections.


The list includes Yugendra Pawar, who will contest against his uncle, Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, in Baramati. Yugendra is the son of Shrinivas Pawar, Ajit Pawar's younger brother.

Fadnavis to file nomination on Friday

Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis will file their nomination papers from Nagpur South-West assembly constituency here on Friday, a BJP release said.


Chief minister Eknath Shinde will file his nomination for the Pachpakhadi Assembly constituency.


The BJP has already released its first list of candidates for the November 20 Maharashtra assembly elections. Along with Fadnavis, the party's Nagpur-South candidate Mohan Mate and Nagpur-East candidate Krishna Khopde will also file their nominations at the Nagpur district collectorate on October 25.

Nana Patole to contest from Sakoli

The Congress announced its first list of 48 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly polls, fielding its state unit chief Nana Patole from Sakoli, former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan from Karad South and Leader of Opposition in the outgoing Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar from Brahmapuri.


The list comes a day after the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) of the Congress, NCP (SP) and Shiv Sena (UBT) announced that they will contest 85 seats each in the November 20 polls.
