BJP core committee meeting underway to deliberate on strategy for Maha govt formation
A meeting of the BJP core committee is underway at Sagar Bungalow, the residence of former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai to further deliberate on the strategy for the course of action following Uddhav Thackeray's resignation as the Chief Minister on Wednesday. Party's top leaders including in-charge CT Ravi, Chandrakant Patil, Girish Mahajan, Praveen Darekar and others are present in the meeting. Independent MLA Ravi Rana also reached his residence. On the other hand, Eknath Shinde faction also held a meeting today in Goa today, to decide on their future course of action.

No hindrance from our side to rebels if they tie up with BJP; Sena to play constructive opposition in new govt: Raut
Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday said the rebels have chosen their way and there would be no hindrance from the party in the path of the dissidents to associate with the BJP, and the Sena will play the role of constructive opposition to the new government. Talking to reporters a day after Sena president Uddhav Thackeray resigned as the state chief minister following a rebellion that rocked his government, Raut also said the dissident leaders will "regret" their decision to part ways with the Shiv Sena. Raut said he will also go to the Enforcement Directorate's office on Friday in response to the summons issued to him by the agency, and clear his position.

Shinde said considering the circumstances, all 50 MLAs had just one demand that we should take ahead Balasaheb’s dream of Hindutva and if appropriate decision was taken at the right time then this would have not happened.
