Sanjay Nirupam on Thursday raised a banner of revolt against the party leadership and announced that he will not participate in the poll campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
Miffed over ticket distribution, the
Congress leader took to Twitter to say that he may have to say good bye to the party because of the way the leadership is behaving with him.
The Congress leader said that he had recommended just one name in Mumbai for the assembly elections, but even that was rejected.
"It seems Congress Party doesn’t want my services anymore. I had recommended just one name in Mumbai for Assembly election. Heard that even that has been rejected. As I had told the leadership earlier,in that case I will not participate in poll campaign. Its my final decision," Sanjay Nirupam tweeted.
"I hope that the day has not yet come to say good bye to party. But the way leadership is behaving with me, it doesn’t seem far away," he said in another tweet.
