Mahajan continues to battle for life
MUMBAI: BJP leader Pramod Mahajan on Tuesday remained on dialysis and ventilatory support and his condition remained 'critical' with doctors saying there was no change in the health parameters since Monday.
"I can say that there is a status quo about his condition," Anupam Verma, Director (administration) of Hinduja Hospital, told reporters in an evening medical bulletin on 56-year-old Mahajan's condition.

Verma said the team of doctors did not contemplate any further surgical intervention until Mahajan's condition improves.
Asked if Mahajan's blood pressure had improved, Verma said the improvement was very slight and not significant.
Mahajan continues to battle for life four days after his youngest brother Pravin fired four bullets at him at the BJP leader's Worli residence.
While the stream of VIP visitors at the Hinduja hospital has now reduced to a trickle, prayers and good wishes continued to pour in for the leader.

In Delhi, more than 300 maulanas gathered to chant the entire holy Quran to pray for Mahajan's speedy recovery. Mahajan's children Rahul and Poonam on Tuesday visited the Siddivinayak temple in Mumbai to pray for their fathers good health.
Meanwhile, on the investigation front, police on Tuesday said Pravin Mahajan could have planned the attack on Saturday morning when he left his home in Thane to visit the BJP leader's house in Worli.
Investigating officials quizzing Pravin to find out why it took him almost one-and-half hours to reach Worli although the two places are just 22 kms away, said that Praveen claimed he was engrossed in thoughts all through the journey.
"He has been telling us that from Thane to Worli, he was thinking of Pramod and the ill-treatment meted out by him," the investigating officials said.
