Madame Tussauds London is hosting a special two-month showcase called 'Icons of India' featuring 13 wax figures of leading Bollywood actors and Indian cricket stars.
The limited-time experience begins on Friday, from May 1 and will end on June 30. The attraction’s awards party zone will be transformed into a space inspired by Indian culture, spotlighting the global appeal of Hindi cinema and cricket.
Visitors will be able to pose with some of the biggest names in Indian entertainment, including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Amitabh Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. The lineup also features Katrina Kaif, Madhuri Dixit and Ranveer Singh.
The experience will also include cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, with Kohli’s figure brought in from Bangkok. Additional figures of Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kajal Aggarwal will also be displayed, travelling from other international Madame Tussauds locations.
Officials said the initiative aims to celebrate the growing global popularity of Indian cinema and cricket while strengthening cultural ties between India and the UK. The high commission of India in London described the showcase as a reflection of the shared cultural connect between the two countries, bringing “the spirit of India to the heart of London.”
