LS polls: Congress, NC reach seat-sharing deal in J&K

NEW DELHI: The National Conference on Monday announced its alliance with the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir for the forthcoming parliamentary polls.

NC leader and former CM of J&K Omar Abdullah in a press briefing by the National Alliance Committee in New Delhi announced the decision.

National Conference and Congress to each contest 3 LS seats in J-K and Ladakh, said NC leader Omar Abdullah.

Omar Abdullah said that Congress will contest Udhampur, Jammu, Ladakh seats and NC will contest Anantnag, Srinagar, Baramulla

"Congress candidates will contest from Udhampur, Jammu and Ladakh Lok Sabha seats and National Conference candidates will contest from Anantnag, Baramulla and Srinagar Lok Sabha seats, " he said.
