'NDA government will retain power'
Speaking to a crowd, Gadkari said, "With people's blessings, the NDA government will retain power under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Maharashtra will see a huge development under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CMs Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar." 'Projects worth over Rs one lakh carried in Nagpur,' says Gadkari
The Minister of Road Transport and Highways said that works amounting to Rs one lakh crore were carried out in Nagpur, attributing the credit to the party workers. He highlighted his efforts in advancing the Multi-Modal International Passenger and Cargo Hub Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN), generating employment opportunities for youth, and enhancing infrastructure through the construction of roads and flyovers in the district. Gadkari also encouraged citizens to actively participate in the voting process, aiming for a 75 per cent voter turnout in Nagpur and support to secure victory by a margin of five lakh votes. Nagpur: Gadkari's Lok Sabha victories
Nitin Gadkari has represented the Nagpur Lok Sabha seat for two consecutive terms. In 2014, he defeated seven-time Congress MP Vilas Muttemwar by a significant margin of 2,85,000 votes. In 2019, he secured victory against Congress candidate Nana Patole, with a margin of 2,16,000 votes. Gadkari garnered 6,60,221 votes, while Patole received 4,44,212 votes. 'Will win this election'
Earlier on Saturday Gadkari exuded confidence in winning and said, "I am confident that I will win this election by more than 5 lakh votes. You all have loved me, whatever work I have been able to do in the country is because of your love and support, whatever work I have, the credit for it goes to the party workers and the public.
