NEW DELHI: The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections is set to take place on May 13, with 1,717 candidates vying for seats across 96 constituencies in 10 states and Union territories.

Voters in all 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana, 25 in Andhra Pradesh, 13 in Uttar Pradesh, five in Bihar, four in Jharkhand, eight in Madhya Pradesh, 11 in Maharashtra, four in Odisha, eight in West Bengal, and one in Jammu and Kashmir will vote in this phase.

Several high-profile contests are in the fray, including former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, TMC's Mahua Moitra, Union ministers Giriraj Singh, Nityanand Rai, and Raosaheb Danve. Other notable candidates include "Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury and former cricketer Yusuf Pathan of TMC," as well as "BJP's Pankaja Munde, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi, and Andhra Pradesh Congress president YS Sharmila.
