In Assam, voter turnout is estimated at 75.26% across 4 parliamentary constituencies. Bihar records a turnout of 56.55% across 5 constituencies. Chhattisgarh sees a turnout of 66.99% across 7 constituencies. Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, Goa, and Gujarat have turnouts of 65.23%, 74.27%, 56.76%, with 2, 2, and 25 parliamentary constituencies respectively. Karnataka records a turnout of 67.76% across 14 constituencies, while Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra report turnouts of 63.09% and 54.77% respectively across 9 and 11 constituencies. Uttar Pradesh sees a turnout of 57.34% across 10 constituencies, and West Bengal records 73.93% across 4 constituencies. The cumulative turnout for these 11 states, comprising 93 parliamentary constituencies, stands at 61.45%. Additionally, this trend does not include postal ballots. The final actual count of votes recorded for each polling station is shared in Form 17 C with all polling agents at the close of polls.

Gujarat records 55.22 pc voter turnout, Valsad leads with 68.12 pc

Gujarat has recorded a voter turnout of 55.22 per cent in the third phase of the Lok Sabha election on Tuesday.Valsad district witnessed the highest voter turnout (68.12 per cent) followed by Banaskantha at 64.48 per cent, Chhotaudepur at 63.76 per cent, and Bharuch at 63.56 per cent.However, the election officials are yet to release the final percentage of the voter turnout, which will be released by Wednesday.Gujarat also witnessed lower turnouts in Amreli at 45.59 per cent and Porbandar at 46.51 per cent.Other constituencies also reflected moderate participation: Ahmedabad East at 49.45 per cent, Ahmedabad West at 50.29 per cent, Jamnagar at 52.36 per cent, Bardoli at 61.01per cent, Patan at 54.58 per cent, and Kheda at 53.83 per cent.Active voter engagement was observed across various constituencies including Kachchh, Banaskantha, Patan, Mahesana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West, Surendranagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Anand, Kheda, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Bharuch, Bardoli, Navsari, and Valsad.

Altogether 265 candidates, including Union Home Minister Shah from Gandhinagar, and his cabinet colleagues Mansukh Mandaviya and Parshottam Rupala from Porbandar and Rajkot, respectively, are in the fray.Of the total 26 constituencies, polling is underway in 25 seats barring Surat, which the BJP had won uncontested after eight out of nine candidates withdrew from the race and the nomination of the Congress candidate was rejected."An average 55.22 per cent voter turnout was recorded between 7 am and 5 pm in Gujarat," the official said.Polling will end at 6 PM.Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Chief Electoral Officer for Gujarat, P Bharathi were among the early voters.As per the data shared by the Election Commission, the tribal-reserved Valsad constituency in south Gujarat has recorded the highest turnout of 68.12 per cent, while the Amreli seat in Saurashtra saw the lowest turnout of 45.59 per cent till 5 PM.

With the end of this phase of voting, 26 of the 80 Lok Sabha seats have already gone to polls.The third phase is important for the family members of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav.Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav is aiming to retain the Mainpuri seat, which she won in a bypoll following the death of her father-in-law. Voting in 9,848 polling stations in Araria, Jhanjharpur, Supaul, Madhepura and Khagaria seats, all currently held by the NDA, began at 7 am amid tight security and will continue till 6 pm, he said.Supaul recorded the highest turnout of 58.91 per cent, followed by Araria (58.57 per cent), Madhepura (54.92 per cent), Khagaria (54.35 per cent) and Jhanjharpur (53.29 per cent), till 5 pm.The electoral fate of 54 candidates will be decided by 98,60,397 voters in the third phase of polling in the state.
