Heavy voter turnout in Thiruvananthapuram district
Heavy voter turnout is reported in Thiruvananthapuram district in the Lok Sabha election. In the first five hours, around 9.3 lakh voters have cast vote. This is around 34.11% of the total voters. District administration said that more voters will turn up in the afternoon. The number of voters in Thiruvananthapuram and Attingal constituencies is around 27.14 lakh. Long queues were visible from the morning when the poll began at 7am. Attingal constituency recorded a voter turnout of 4.66 lakh. There are 13.46 lakh voters in Attingal. Of the 13.67 lakh voters in Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency, 4.60 cast vote before noon.
