SONIPAT: Newly-elected Lok Sabha member from Hisar constituency, HJC leader Kuldeep Bishnoi, on Monday resigned from Haryana assembly as a member from Adampur assembly segment.
Bishnoi submitted his resignation to assembly speaker Kuldeep Sharma at the Ladsoli rest house in Gannour town of the district. Earlier, the speaker had refused to accept the resignation sent through fax to his office.
Talking to mediapersons, the speaker said that Bishnoi's resignation has now been accepted and the Election Commission of India will be informed about acceptance of his resignation. "Bishnoi had sent his resignation on fax which was illegal as he had to submit the resignation in person as per rules".
When asked about his comments, Bishnoi said he would raise issues pertaining to development of Haryana and welfare of people of the state in the Lok Sabha.
