BJP MP Kangana Ranaut made strong allegations against the Himachal Pradesh government on Sunday, asserting that it misappropriates loans meant for the state, directing funds to former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Speaking at the launch of a BJP membership drive in a local village, the actress-turned-politician claimed that such practices have left the state's financial resources "hollow."

"Everyone is aware that corruption is prevalent, and the Congress-ruling state governments have hollowed their respective states," Ranaut stated, raising concerns about the significant amounts spent by the party during elections. She questioned the source of these funds, implying that the Congress government’s financial mismanagement is at play.

Attacking the current government led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Ranaut said, "They take loans and give it to Sonia Gandhi, which has made the state hollow." She further criticized the government's handling of disaster relief funds, alleging, "If we give disaster funds, it should go to the CM Relief Fund, but everyone knows that it goes to the Sonia relief fund."

Ranaut urged citizens to take action, saying, "Disasters and the Congress government have taken the state decades back, and I would appeal to people to root out the present government." Her remarks highlight ongoing tensions between the BJP and Congress in the region as the political landscape continues to shift in the lead-up to future elections.
