Reversing its earlier decision, JKPL has decided to resume its association with the Hurriyat Conference.
SRINAGAR: Reversing its earlier decision, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples' League (JKPL), headed by jailed separatist leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz, has decided to resume its association with the hard-line faction of Hurriyat Conference. "JKPL has decided to continue as a constituent of Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani," a spokesman of the organization, which had severed ties with the separatist amalgam on October 28, said on Tuesday.
The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of JKPL central council members here on Monday with acting president Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopuri in chair. The members also constituted a five-member committee to chalk out their future strategy, the spokesman said.
