J&K Army camp attacked, civilian & soldier killed

SRINAGAR: A civilian and a soldier were killed when terrorists attacked the Army’s 50 Rashtriya Rifles camp at Kakapora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late on Sunday evening.


Police said

Bilal Ahmad Gania

, a Sumo driver, was critically injured in the crossfire and later succumbed to injuries in hospital. When the terrorists fired at the camp, soldiers retaliated.

In the encounter, a jawan also died, SSP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudary said. The terrorists later escaped from the encounter site, sources said.
