Janardana Hegde wins Sahitya Translation Prize

NEW DELHI: Kannada writer Janardana Hegde was on Saturday chosen for the Sahitya Akademi Translation Prize for 2005, the Akademi said.
Hegde won the award for his translation of of S L Bhyrappa's novel 'Dharmasri', an Akademi statement said.
The Prize comprises a purse of Rs 20,000 and an engraved copper plaque which will be presented to him at a special function in Bhopal on August 23.
