In the 2019 parliamentary elections, the constituency witnessed robust participation, with a total of 1,657,166 electors exercising their democratic franchise. This marked an increase from the 1,470,952 electors recorded in 2014, indicating a growing engagement of citizens in shaping the political discourse of Jamnagar.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) retained its dominance in both elections, with Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam emerging victorious on both occasions. Her victory in 2019 was particularly noteworthy, securing 591,588 votes, underscoring her resonance with the electorate and the enduring appeal of the BJP in the constituency.

In 2014, Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam's victory was decisive, garnering 484,412 votes. Her Indian National Congress (INC) counterpart, Ahir Vikrambhai Arjanbhai Madam, trailed behind, reflecting the BJP's stronghold in the region.

Fast forward to 2019, Poonamben Hematbhai Maadam's electoral triumph continued, with a significant victory margin of 236,804 votes. Kandoriya Mulubhai Ranmalbhai from the INC stood second with 354,784 votes, indicating the enduring presence of both political parties in the electoral fray.
