islamabad: pakistan-based militant outfit jaish-e-mohammad, which has been blamed by the indian police for last week's attack on the parliament, has disassociated itself from mohammad afzal, the main accused in the case. afzal was disowned in an interview to bbc by a member of jaish supreme council hassan barqui. in the interview, barqui denied involvement of his outfit in the attack.
the disowning of afzal and that too days after the attack could prove to be an embarrassment for pakistan, which demanded concrete evidence from india to act against both jaish and lashkar-e-taiba.
