on Monday, transferred 20 officers, including 13 superintendents of police (SPs) and 7 additional SPs (ASPs).

Among the transferred officers include – SP Vivek Priyadarshi, who was handling the crucial ACB Delhi unit which is probing the 2G spectrum scam, and SP Nirbhay Kumar – who has been given additional charge of ACB Jodhpur alongwith SP Economic Offences-II wing.

11 other SPs who were shifted by Rao on Monday are – AT Durai Kumar (moved from EO Chennai to ACB Chennai), Prem Gautam (SP EO-III New Delhi will hold additional charge of Deputy director administration), Mohit Gupta, who has been moved from ACB Ghaziabad to bank securities and fraud cell (BS&FC) Delhi. Interestingly, Mohit Gupta was recently brought to Delhi anti corruption unit by Alok Verma, who was briefly reinstated as CBI director by the Supreme Court, and was made incharge of FIR against Rakesh Asthana.

However, as soon as Verma was removed by the selection panel, Rao overturned all the transfers done by Verma.

On Monday, SP ACB Raipur Abhishek Shandilya was moved as SP ACB Delhi, where T Rajah Balaji was posted till now. Another officer – P Balachandran was moved to Cochin from BS&FC unit in Delhi.

The ASPs shifted by Rao include Rafat Moid Khan, who was handling Vyapam cases in Bhopal to ACB Raipur, RN Mishra – from special crimes branch in Lucknow to ACB Ghaziabad, AK Jha – from ACB Chennai to SCB Chennai.

Officials said that Rao has transferred several JDs, DIGs, SPs, ASPs in last 12 days. The exact reasons for so many transfers in one go were not known but the agency has maintained that these are regular transfers.
