India reports 14,623 Covid-19 cases and 197 deaths in last 24 hours

NEW DELHI: India on Wednesday reported 14,623 fresh

Covid

cases, taking the total number of cases to 3,41,08,996. The country also saw 197 deaths. With this rise, the death toll in the country reached 4,52,651.




Of the total cases reported, 1,78,098 are active Covid cases. The number of active cases in the country is at its lowest in 229 days.



In the last 24 hours 19,446 people have recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries to 3,34,78,247. The

recovery

rate in the country is currently at 98.15 per cent, which is the highest since March 2020.



India's total vaccinations have crossed 99 crore, with 41,36,142 vaccinations being conducted in the last 24 hours.
