BAHRAICH: Addressing a rally on phone after a dense fog prevented his helicopter from landing in Bahraich, UP, on Sunday, PM
Narendra Modi said he was aware of the tricks being played by the corrupt to convert their ill-gotten wealth into white money.
“Every day, bundles of notes are being seized. Big people, big bankers are being arrested. Technology nowadays is such that movement of money is tracked and even if takes time, every corrupt would be caught,” he said.
As UP
BJP chief Keshav Maurya held the phone to the mike,
Modi said, “Mobile phone has helped me speak to you all, so why don’t you switch to mobile banking and discover the advantage?” A huge crowd had gathered to hear the PM speak.
Criticizing SP and BSP, Modi said the two parties disagreed on everything except on tackling black money. He said the opposition was not allowing the government to function in Parliament. Slamming the SP after it declared mobster-turnedpolitician Atiq Ahmad as its candidate from Kanpur, Modi said if UP has to progress, supporters of ‘goondaraj’ would have to leave.
