PM Modi inaugurates 15 airport projects, including new Delhi terminal

The project launched by PM Modi includes 12 new terminal buildings of Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Adampur Airports, along with laying of the foundation stone for new terminal buildings of Kadapa, Hubballi and Belagavi airports on Sunday. Addressing a gathering in Azamgarh, PM Modi said, "Azamgarh's star is shining today. There was a time when an event was held in Delhi and (people from) other states used to attend it. Today, the event is being organised in Azamgarh and people from different parts of the country are attending it."

“The inaugurations of these airports, highways and railway lines today should not be seen through the prism of (the coming) elections. This is my journey of development that aims to see India as a developed nation by 2047. Earlier only announcement used to be made and forgotten. People were bluffed earlier. Aaj desh ne dekh liya Modi doosri mitti ka insaan hai. Whatever project is initiated now, is completed now,” the PM said. (Photo/ Agencies)

According to the Prime Minister's Office, these terminal buildings are fully equipped with various passenger facilities like check-in counters, aerobridges, baggage conveyors and sufficient concessionaire area. Once completed, the combined passenger handling capacity of these airports will increase to 95 lakh passengers per annum. (Photo/Agencies)

Furthermore, PM Modi inaugurated the Light House Project (LHP) for Lucknow and Ranchi, which includes more than 2000 affordable flats with modern infrastructure. (Photo/Agencies)

In order to boost railway infrastructure, PM laid foundation stone for gauge conversion of the Bahraich-Nanpara-Nepalganj Road rail section and inaugurated a new rail line from Ghazipur City to Ghazipur Ghat. (Photo/ Agencies)
