Posts on X claimed that Gujarat's Hazira port has been attacked. Upon fact-checking, PIB cleared out that no such incidents had taken place. The video being shared was an of oil tanker explosion dated July 7, 2021.

A social media post claiming a ban on the entry into airports was being shared, PIB debunked this claim and clarified that there was no such decision taken by the government.

'Fidayeen' attack on the Indian Army? Fake news

Information regarding a 'fidayeen' or suicide attack was being widely circulated on social media. PIB confirmed that no such attack had taken place in any army cantonment. The false claim was only constructed to cause confusion and panic.

CoAS sends confidential letter? Fake news

A letter is being shared on social media that Chief of the Army Staff Gen V K Narayan had sent a confidential letter on military preparedness to the Army officer of Northern Command. PIB declared that this claim was completely false and emphasised that people should rely only on official sources for accurate information.

Indian post destroyed by the Pakistan Army? Fake news

A fake video of an Indian post being destroyed by the Pakistani Army was being spread online, amplified by unverified accounts. PIB confirmed through X that the video was completely fake and there is no unit called "20 Raj Battalion".

An old image claiming explosions at Jammu Air Force Base in India is being widely circulated. PIB debunked this claim and verified the image is from the Kabul Airport blast in August 2021.

Several unverified social media accounts falsely claimed that India had targeted the Neelum-Jhelum Hydropower Project in Pakistan. PIB called this claim as baseless. Foreign secretary Vikram Misri had reiterated that India has only targeted terrorist infrastructure.

Pakistani missile has hit an Indian S-400? Fake news

Several Pakistan-based handles were circulating an old image that claimed a Pakistani missile has hit an Indian military post S-400. PIB Fact Check cleared that this claim was completely false as the image being shared is from 2023. This picture is of a fire at a military site in Moscow.

Drone strike in Jalandhar? Fake news

A video of a drone attack in Jalandhar was widely being circulated on social media creating panic among the people. It was found that the video was that of a farm fire, as cleared out by PIB. The video had a timeline of 7.39 pm while the drone attack began much later. This was later confirmed by the DC of Jalandhar.

Missile attack on India? Fake news

An old video was shared on social media claiming that Pakistan had launched a missile attack on India as retaliation. Upon fact-checking PIB established that the video was of an explosive attack that took place in Beirut, Lebanon in the year 2020.

Indian military attacked its own citizens in Amritsar? Fake news

A social media post falsely claimed that the Indian army used the Ambala Airbase to attack its own citizens and Amritsar. PIB said on a post on X that this claim was completely superficial and part of a concerted misinformation campaign.

Pakistan army strikes posts in Battal Sector,J&K? Fake news

Pakistan-based handles are circulating a video claiming that the Pakistani army had struck Battal Sector, Jammu & Kashmir. This claim was debunked by PIB as they cleared out the video was old while the image is from 2011.
