SRINAGAR: Senior Hurriyat leader and spokesman of Muslim League, Hakeem Abdul Rashid, released a month back after detention for nearly two years, was again arrested on Thursday, official sources said.
Rashid was taken into custody soon after he came out of Hurriyat headquarters at Rajbagh, the sources said without giving reasons for the arrest.
Rashid, a former member of Shabir Shah''s Democratic Freedom Party, quit the organisation in 2001 following differences with Shah over the issue of holding dialogue with Centre''s interlocutor K C Pant and joined the Muslim League, a constituent of Hurriyat Conference.
He was arrested under Public Safety Act on June 17, 2001, and was released on health grounds on June 3 last.
