Housewife killed, 3 kidnapped in Tripura

agartala: a housewife was killed and three school students were kidnapped by insurgents of the banned national liberation front of tripura (nlft) in separate incidents in the state, police said on friday. police said that a group of heavily armed nlft insurgents raided a house at kachucherra village of dhalai district last night and opened fire indiscriminately killing gitarani chakrabarty (46) on the spot.the ultras while fleeing from the area kidnapped dilip chakrabarty (14) son of the victim and pranab das (17), a neighbour, police said. senior police officials, including the superintendent of police, rushed to the spot and a combing operation had been launched in the area to rescue the kidnapped persons and track down the ultras, police said. in a separate incident, another group of insurgents of the same outfit raided champaknagar village on thursday night and kidnapped shankha debbarma (12), a school student, from the area.
