Hindu Mahasabha demands reservation on economic basis instead of caste
AGRA: The Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha has demanded scrapping of “caste” based reservation system and replacing the same on the basis of economic status of applicants.
Accusing the BJP of playing the “caste card” by raising the issue reservations in AMU, Mahasabha spokesperson Ashok Pandey on Sunday said that
"BJP’s slogan Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas is meaningless when only a particular caste is benefited by reservation," Pandey said.
Referring to the recent developments of the State and National Commission for SC, questioning the AMU authorities for not providing reservation to SC/ST students in their Institute, he said the BJP has no real concern for the people and had raised this issue only for political reasons.
