NEW DELHI: The Haryana Congress on Friday expelled 13 of its leaders for six years after they were found involved in anti-party activities during the ongoing assembly elections.

According to an official statement released by the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), the leaders were reportedly contesting the elections against party-nominated candidates.

The official statement read: “Consequent upon the receipt of reports through various means of communication pertaining to party leaders/workers having found indulged in anti-party activities by fighting the ongoing assembly election against the party candidates and to curb indiscipline in the party, the following persons are hereby expelled from the party for 6 years with immediate effect.”



The expelled leaders include:

  • Naresh Dhande
  • Pardeep Gill
  • Sajjan Singh Dhull
  • Sunita Battan
  • Rajiv Mamuram Gondar
  • Dayal Singh Sirohi
  • Vijay Jain
  • Dilbag Sandil
  • Ajit Phogat
  • Abhijeet Singh
  • Satbir Ratera
  • Nitu Mann
  • Anita Dhull Badsikri
The constituencies where these leaders were found contesting against official party candidates include Guhla (SC), Jind, Pundri, Nilokheri (SC), Panipat Rural, Uchana Kalan, Dadri, Bhiwani, Bawani Khera (SC), Prithla, and Kalayat.
