Govt to take a decision on extending monsoon session of Parliament: Kamal Nath

NEW DELHI: A decision on the issue of extending the monsoon session of Parliament will be taken on Thursday.
A meeting of the Cabinet committee on parliamentary affairs will deliberate on the issue in the evening, parliamentary affairs minister Kamal Nath said.
BJP has been opposing the extension as also CPM which feels that the winter session can be advanced instead.
While there is speculation that the current session could be extended for three days, government sources said that the session may be extended by a day.
The government has a heavy legislative agenda and several days have been lost due to disruptions over various issues.
