NEW DELHI: Google has unveiled a new doodle on Monday celebrating Earth Day. The Google Doodle, which replaces the iconic 'Google' logo on the search engine's homepage, featured aerial photos from Earth, highlighting some areas where progress has been made towards a more sustainable future.

The Google letters highlight various locations worldwide where individuals, communities, and governments strive daily to preserve the Earth's natural beauty, biodiversity, and resources.

G represents Turks and Caicos Islands. The islands are home to important biodiversity areas with conservation efforts aimed at addressing ongoing environmental challenges, including protecting natural resources and reefs and restoring endangered species like the Turks and Caicos Islands rock iguana.

O represents Scorpion Reef National Park in Mexico. Also known as Arrecife de Alacranes, this is the largest reef in the southern Gulf of Mexico and Unesco biosphere reserve. The marine protected area serves as a refuge for complex coral and several endangered bird and turtle species.

O represents Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland. Established as a national park in 2008 after decades of advocacy, this UNESCO World Heritage Site protects the ecosystem in and around Europe’s largest glacier. The mix of volcanoes and glacial ice produce rare landscapes and flora.

G represents Jaú National Park in Brazil. Also known as Parque Nacional do Jaú, this is one of South America’s largest forest reserves and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, it protects a huge range of species, including the margay, jaguar, giant otter, and the Amazonian manatee.

L represents the Great Green Wall in Nigeria. Started in 2007, this African Union-led initiative is restoring land affected by desertification across the width of Africa, planting trees and other vegetation while implementing sustainable land management practices. This also provides the people and communities in the area with increased economic opportunities, food security, and climate resilience.

E represents Pilbara Islands Nature Reserves in Australia. Located by one of the Pilbara Island Nature Reserves, one of 20 nature reserves in Australia that help protect fragile ecosystems, increasingly rare natural habitats, and a number of threatened or endangered species—including multiple species of marine turtles, shorebirds, and seabirds.

A Google doodle is a temporary modification of the Google logo on the search engine's homepage, typically appearing on specific holidays, festivals, or to honor the contributions of individuals on their birth or death anniversaries.

Part-1. (What is really wrong). .Here is something Interesting to know on the Earth Day. So what have the Air Pollution, Climate change, Global Warming and Climate Disasters (like Storms, Cyclones, Floods, Wild Fires and the HeatWaves) got to do with the use of Heat Emitting and Energy Wasting Friction Brakes in all our Automobiles? . .Every time our Automobiles apply their (Friction) Brakes, so frequent in our City Travel, all their Kinetic Energy is turned in to Heat and released in to the Atmosphere, adding to the Warming of the Environment and the Planet. But that is not all and end of the Story, because these Automobiles are then having to Generate 2.5 times the amount of Kinetic Energy (that is) just lost as heat in those Friction Brakes, for powering their Next Acceleration. ..and often within Seconds of having Stopped at the Traffic Signals, halts or even while taking a Simple Turn at the Corner.. .Please note here that Best of our Engines can only convert 40% of Heat in to Kinetic Energy or Motion, with the Remaining 60% of heat getting wasted (again going in to the Atmosphere) from the Hot Engine, Radiators, hot exhaust line and the hot exhaust gases; thus having to Produce 100% New Energy for losing out or not recovering that 40% of Kinetic Energy; or producing 2.5 times the Energy that is lost in those Friction Brakes.. .Millions of our Automobiles that now operate in our Stop-and-Go City Traffic add a Huge Amount of Heat and CO2 from their Frequent Acceleration using a lot of New Energy and Fuel, but never recovering any of that Kinetic Energy while Braking, thus resulting in their Excessive Energy foot print, with each of our Automobiles now boasting 100 plus hp or power output (that would be enough to power a small Factory!). . .The Huge Heat build-up in our Atmosphere results in Climate Change, Global Warming and extreme weather events like Storms, Cyclones, Floods and Wildfires, and is resulting out of our own Actions, inaction or Mistakes. The Mistake of not recovering the Kinetic Energy in our Automobiles that still use those Energy Wasting Friction Brakes in 21st Century using them even in all those Electric vehicles!; and consequently ending up using a Huge amount of New Energy, Engine/Motor Power and Fuel or Electricity for powering these Automobiles, Emitting a Huge Amount of Heat and CO2 Emission in to our Atmosphere and causing the Climate Crisis.
