NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of casteism as he refused to wear a garland from a Dalit leader, adding that the Gandhi family has only exploited the community as a vote bank.
Sharing a video on X, BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya claimed that the Congress leader refused to wear a garland from the hands of Rajasthan's Dalit leader Bhajanlal Jatav.
In a video, Rahul Gandhi could be seen accepting the garland from MLA Ashok Gehlot and flowers from other leaders but seemingly objected to wearing another garland from Jatav.
Watch video:
"Why does Rahul Gandhi object to wearing a garland from the hands of Bhajanlal Jatav, a Dalit leader from Rajasthan and his own party? Congress and the Gandhi family have always given nothing to the Dalit community except politically neglecting them and exploiting them as a vote bank," Malviya said in a post on X.
