From Manmohan Singh to Sitaram Yechury, Indian personalities who passed away in 2024

Kind or not, history definitely would remember the contributions of former PM Manmohan Singh. He passed away in December at the age of 93. The man is credited with making Indian one of the fastest growing in the world during his tenure.

Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal, known for his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema, passed away at the age of 90 in December. Benegal's neorealism resonated with a generation seeking films that reflected social and political tensions.

The 'leading light of Left' and veteran CPM leader Sitaram Yechury passed away at the age of 72 after a prolonged illness in September.

K Natwar Singh, former Congress leader known for his varied roles in diplomacy & politics, and literature, passed away in August at the age of 93.
