BHAGALPUR: Four Maoist cadres, including a woman, were arrested in a search operation in the Belhar forest area of Bihar's Banka district conducted jointly by state police and CRPF.
Banka SP Shyam Kumar confirmed the arrests. Of the four, Taro Mandal was a Maoist area commander. He was allegedly involved in former Munger SP KC Surendra Babu's killing (January 2005), Jhajha railway station attack, attack on Akbarnagar police camp, blast in several government buildings and nearly 35 incidents of Maoist violence, said police.
Taro was also in-charge of the Maoist group which guarded the cops from the time they were abducted on August 29 till three of the four policemen were released on September 6.

Two firearms, 45 live cartridges, cash and pamphlets related to Maoist activities were seized from them.
