Former Haryana BJP minister Bachan Singh Arya resigns over disappointment in ticket allocation

NEW DELHI: BJP leader and former Haryana minister Bachan Singh Arya has resigned from the party after being denied a ticket for the upcoming elections.

Arya, who hails from Safidon in Jind district, expressed disappointment over the decision. The BJP has chosen former JJP MLA Ramkumar Gautam to contest from Narnaund instead.

Arya, who narrowly lost the 2019 election by 3,000 votes, had been preparing for the 2024 polls. His resignation follows similar moves by other leaders, including Laxman Napa and Ranjit Singh Chautala, who have also quit the party over ticket issues.
