For Hooda & Co, it's biz as usual
CHANDIGARH: Two days after Congress hailed Lage Raho Muuna Bhai, Haryana cabinet ministers, led by CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, flocked into a movie hall in Panchkula on Monday to see it for themselves.
But in looking for a lesson in simplicity and austerity from Prof Murli Prasad Sharma, they ended up giving the public a lesson in VIP high-handedness.
1x1 polls

The movie hall in Panchkula was on Monday night turned into a fortress, with armed guards manning the theatre and ringing the complex. In fact, screening of the 9.45 pm show was delayed by at least 20 minutes to suit the arrival timing of Hooda and his colleagues.
The impatient audience, surprised over the delay, kept approaching the theatre staff time and again only to be warded off. Apparently, instructed by the CM's security staff, the audience was told that a "technical flaw" was causing the delay.
Truth came out when a battery of Haryana Congressmen walked into the auditorium around 10 pm and occupied seats reserved for them. Hooda was flanked by his trusted colleagues Randeep Surjewala and Venod Sharma.
Shikha Malhotra, who had come to watch the movie with her husband, told TOI, "We are going back.We will buy a CD and watch the movie at home. You, too, should not stay here.
I think police are working on some information and there could be a bomb in here." Hitesh Kumar, who was refused a ticket at the counter, was told it was a full house. He later learnt some seats were kept unoccupied for "security reasons".
