First dengue death in West Bengal
A six-year-old boy, Ayan Mishra, died of dengue at the Bankura Medical College Hospital on Tuesday.
Hospital Superintendent, Gourishankar Mohapatra, said the child died on Tuesday morning.
No other patients suffering from dengue had been admitted to the hospital till now, he said.
This is the first dengue death reported from the district.
